Reserves make support parcel deliveries

Back in June our Reserves completed a ‘5k a day’ to raise money towards helping the elderly and vulnerable in the local community.

From those very generous monetary donations, this afternoon several of the players and coaching staff visited homes to deliver support parcels to those in need.

In these difficult social times like we have experienced over the last 6-7 months - we as a team wanted to try and support our local community in whatever way we could” commented Reserves manager Darren Higginbotham.

I want to thank the staff at Beattys Spar and Roulstons Centra for putting the packs together. In difficult economic times, it’s critical we support local businesses and the help we received from both businesses was fantastic”.

I would also like to commend the 19-20 man squad, who were a great bunch of lads, and for them to want to connect to the clubs supporters, volunteers and the elderly and vulnerable in the wider Ballinamallard community, speaks volumes for them as individuals.”

Finally thank you to all who donated and made this possible”.
