Warnock & McEvoy become Blues

MALLARDS SECURE FURTHER SIGNINGS BEFORE CHAMPIONSHIP OPENING GAME.

Ballinamallard United manager Harry McConkey has added another two quality players in Sean McEvoy and Lee Warnock to his squad before the opening match day of the Championship.

Sean McEvoy is a former young Mallard player who has starred in many positions of the team line-up. The Republic of Ireland Youth International played with the Mallards before moving to Bray Wanderers in the League of Ireland First Division.

Harry said: “I am delighted to have secured the signature of Sean McEvoy, he is a top quality young player and was a favourite with our supporters. In our last full session Sean was voted our Young Player of the Year and will commence training with us in September, but will not be available for selection until the end of October.”

Lee Warnock comes to Ferney Park from Ardstraw FC with an excellent football pedigree. He was a regular in the NI Regions Cup Team, had a spell with Dergview in the Championship and has been a long standing regular in the Northern Ireland Intermediate League.

Harry said: “Lee has been a consistent and outstanding central defender at Intermediate level for some time. His enthusiasm and energy is infectious and I know he will be a great asset to the squad both on and off the pitch. As difficult as it was for him to leave Ardstraw he feels at 27 he is in his prime and is ready for a new challenge of senior level football with Ballinamallard United."

Best wishes to both players for their time at Ferney Park.
