Defender Matthew Buchanan put pen to paper today to sign for Harry McConkey and Ballinamallard for the season ahead The 24 year old was most recently with Dergview but also lists St Johnstone, West Brom and Killen amongst his former Clubs. Having already featured in pre-season, Matty has caught the eye with his commanding style of defending and we look forward to seeing more of him in a blue shirt.
We are pleased to note that the Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL) have concluded their review of Ballinamallard United FC licencing and found that no significant further action is required. NIFL have made a small number of helpful recommendations in relation to the aspects they reviewed, which we are content to implement. Attacker Nathan Cashel has unfortunately left the Club this summer to return to his native Kesh. Nathan was unable to commit fully to the Mallards this season with work commitments and his growing one to one coaching business. We thank him for his dedication to date and wish him well for the future.
