Ballinamallard 1-1 Warrenpoint

Both sides had to settle for a point apiece in this battle at Ferney Park. Neither side showed any nerves as they both went for victory, although it remained goalless at half time. The home side started the second half brightly and Shane McGinty fired them infront, capitalising after goalkeeper Turker dropped a Niall Owens cross. The Mallards searched for a second, however the turning point in the game arrived with 20 minutes left when Richard Clarke was given his marching orders for two yellow cards in quick succession. Darren Murray smashed the point level with a well worked corner and they then took the ascendancy, but Ballinamallard showed great determination to eek out a point and move

Ballinamallard 0-6 Linfield

A disasterous day for the Mallards who felt Linfield's wrath to conclude a tough week. The Blues raced into a three goal half time lead, however the third was hotly disputed with Richard Brush crushed against the post which resulted in a melee. Joshua Robinson was shown a straight red card as a result. That didn't deter Linfield however who added a further three in the second half. Things get no easier unfortunately with Glenavon and Cliftonville on the horizon, but we'll regroup and go again. The bottom of the table remains as is with defeats for the bottom four.
