Ballinamallard United FC note yesterday’s announcement by the Irish FA that the Sadler’s Peaky Blinder Irish Cup will go ahead in the month of May this year. The Irish Cup is of course a prestigious competition and one that Clubs generally look forward to competing in with awe. Glynn joins Derry City
Ballinamallard United's talented midfielder Micheal Glynn has signed for Derry City. With a number of pre-season games under way in preparation for next month's kick off in the SSE Airtricity Premiership League, this will be a good opportunity for the versatile player to make an impression. We wish Micheal well with Derry City and look forward to welcoming him back in the future to the Mallards squad.
20/21 Championship Cancelled
At last evening’s NIFL Championship Committee it was agreed to recommend to the NIFL Board that this season should not commence and be null and void. As a Club we are obviously disappointed that there will be no Championship League taking place for the 2020/21 season. We fully agree with the sentiments that if any less than 22 games were played in a league campaign it would not have credibility, particularly in relation to promotion and relegation.
