H&W Welders 0-2 Ballinamallard

It's back to back wins for the Mallards who now go unbeaten in 4 games. Tillysburn proved a difficult venue last year with two defeats but there was no such worries today. Joshua McIlwaine headed in a first half opener, not long after the Mallards had hit the crossbar from a corner. Campbell, McEvoy, Cashel, McIlwaine and O'Reilly all spurned chances to extend the lead and as the second half progressed, it looked like that might cost the Mallards as the Welders continued to threaten. Eventually Ryan Campbell notched up the second goal to seal a hard earned win. There was also good news for the Reserves as their pre-season continued. Two Lee Frazer goals seen them defeat Fivemiletown 2-0 in a

Callum heads to Ballinamallard

Harry McConkey has swooped late in the transfer window to make one final addition to his squad; Callum Moorehead from Institute. The 21 old year old forward is an exciting young player who can play anywhere along the frontline and earlier this year attracted interest from across the water. "It was no secret that we needed more in the final third and Callum is exactly the type of player that I was seeking to bring in. He will add further depth and competition to our squad and he will no doubt excite the Ferney Park faithful who will appreciate this type of hard working and skillful player" praised McConkey. Moorehead is no stranger to the Championship having picked up a winners medal with 'St

Ballinamallard 5-0 Ballyclare

Ryan Campbell notched up a second half hat trick as the Mallards swept aside 10 man Ballyclare at Ferney Park. Harry McConkey's men led at half time through a Sean McEvoy goal but Ballyclare were certainly causing the home side problems with Dobbin and Tully spurning great chances. Campbell notched up his first shortly after the break, tucking away a Cashel cross and he doubled that for 3-0 on 70 minutes, clipping a cross from the right over the goalkeepers head; a fine strikers goal. Joshua McIlwaine lashed in a fourth and John Currie supplied Campbell for the fifth to cap a resounding victory.

Ballinamallard 1-1 Ards

Chris Kelly's 91st minute header secured another point for Ballinamallard, having endured a frustrating 90 minutes prior to that! The first half seen very few attempts on target with Ards taking the lead on 21 minutes. Matthew Smyth was penalised for a handball during an attempted block and whilst John Connolly saved Craig McMillan's penalty, he couldn't stop the rebound. Smyth almost made amends on 36 minutes heading a McManus free kick off the crossbar but the Mallards remained behind at the break. Cashel and Campbell both went close for the home side whilst the lively Eamon McAllister drew a save from Connolly early after the restart. The Mallards piled on the pressure in the closing stag

Portadown 0-1 Ballinamallard

Matchday 3 brought us our first 3 points of the season in a game full of chances at Shamrock Park. Who else but Ryan Campbell, scored the only goal of the game just before half time. The Reserves drew 2-2 with Dergview Reserves at Fisher Park. Despite being 2 goals down, the young Mallards worked ever so hard and 2 goals from 15 year old Pearse Goan drew them level in this pre-season friendly. We also wish a speedy recovery to Dean Corrigan who suffered a nasty gash to the face which required hospital treatment. Well done all!

Dergview 2-0 Ballinamallard

The Mallards are still awaiting their first win of the season after this disappointing defeat at Darragh Park tonight. Paul Smith put the hosts ahead on 15 minutes when he scored directly from a corner and Dergview had another goal ruled out for offside before half time. Ryan Campbell and Nathan Cashel chalked up the only notable efforts for Ballinamallard but these were comfortably saved by the goalkeeper. Dergview scored their second on 51 minutes to take a commanding lead - Buchannan heading in a corner from the left. The Mallards then had a spell of heavy pressure with a header cleared off the goal line and Sean McEvoy seeing three separate attempts saved or blocked whilst Ryan Mortis wa

Ballinamallard 0-1 Knockbreda

It was a frustrating afternoon for the Mallards in the opening match of the 2019/20 Bluefin Sport Championship. The home side couldn't just find a way through an organised and determined 'Breda and when they did, they found goalkeeper Jack Hazard in fine form. Alex Pomeroy hit the post in the first half for the Belfast side with Sean McEvoy going closest for the Mallards, but he blasted over the bar from close range. The only goal of the game arrived on 55 minutes; Brendan Bennett headed against the crossbar and Anthony Burns was on hand to volley into the net. Nathan Cashel and Ryan Campbell both carved out chances for the home side but on each occasion Hazard was there to save. Before the
