O'Flynn becomes the fourth January signing

Striker Stephen O'Flynn has joined Ballinamallard from reigning champions Crusaders on a permanent deal until the end of the season.

The 33 year old was recently heralded as 'the best finisher in Northern Ireland' by Crues boss Stephen Baxter, but he was then placed on the transfer list weeks later, with his first team opportunities limited. Baxter added, "I work with him every week in training and he is a fantastic finisher. His brain works more quickly than everyone else's...if you give him a chance, he will score"

O'Flynn joined Crusaders from Institute one year ago having scored 18 goals in 29 appearances and has previously played for Derry City, St Pats, Cork City and Limerick.

Whitey Anderson was delighted to secure O'Flynn's signature. "We as a club have worked tremendously hard over the last week to try and secure Stephen's signature. His record speaks for itself over the years and without any doubt, his experience will be a massive asset to us over the next couple of months. His ability to bring people into the game, score goals and provide assists will be invaluable. We now look forward to getting Stephen involved in training this week as we prepare for a tough game against Ballymena on Saturday."
