Coleraine 2-1 Ballinamallard

Coleraine came from a goal down to collect all three points from Ballinamallard United's visit to The Showgrounds.

The Mallards started the brighter of the two sides, threatening early on when Emmett Friars headed over from a Jason McCartney free-kick. A short time later at the other end Brad Lyons fired just wide from distance.

The sides continued to trade chances with Liam Martin forcing a great save from Michael Doherty while Ian Parkhill headed a Ruairi free-kick wide.

However, the deadlock was broken on 28 minutes when, from a counter attack, Martin was on target to put the visitors ahead with a close range deflected effort.

The visitors were reduced to ten men early in the second half after James McKenna was shown a straight red card for a late tackle on Harkin.

The Bannsiders made their numerical advantage tell on 70 minutes when substitute James McLaughlin converted at the far post from a Lyons delivery.

And they went on to seal the points when Jamie McGonigle finished with a super strike just as the game drifted into stoppage time.
