Assisting the community

In a joint community project Ballinamallard United FC, Ballinamallard Fisher Park and Ballinamallard Support Group continue to provide assistance to people in the local community.

Following food parcel and oil deliveries during the early days of Covid coming to the area, the project moved to helping the local senior citizens club who had been meeting every Friday for many years for a hot meal provided by the local Primary School, and fellowship. However, this had stopped with the onset of the Pandemic.

Ballinamallard United FC and their charity based partner organisations of Ballinamallard Fisher Park and Ballinamallard Support Group took up the challenge to continue providing the hot meal every Friday to these local group members.

With the assistance of funding from Fermanagh & Omagh District Council and now the Community Foundation topped up by the organisations own funds they have provided the hot meal every Friday for eight weeks and will continue until the end of June, which is the normal summer holiday break.

Thanks to all those who have helped deliver these during the time, to Beatty’s Spar for the preparation of the food and to the funders Fermanagh & Omagh District Council and the Community Foundation.
