For the second week in a row the Mallards missed the chance to significantly close the gap at the top of the table with another late goal conceeded.

Sean McEvoy put us in the lead, finishing off a free flowing move involving Ben McCann and Ryan Campbell, and it stayed that way until after the break when a Matthew Smyth own goal set the sides level again.

With Dergview beating Portadown, Jason McCartney had the opportunity to edge us towards 3 points when he converted from the penalty spot but within minutes Michael McLellan scored an equaliser for Ards.

Nevertheless, the point earned draws us to within 5 of Portadown as we aim to be 'in the mix' come the end of the season.
