Portadown 3-3 Ballinamallard

A 95th minute equaliser saved Portadown from a third defeat of the season at the hands of the Mallards, and keeps their six point advantage at the top of the table intact.

The home side struck up an early two goal advantage through Adam Salley but the Mallards responded to draw level before half time.

Jason McCartney netted the first with Matthew Smyth nodding in the second from close range on the stroke of half time. Inbetween times Richard Clarke also seen his penalty saved by Portadown goalkeeper Devine.

Harry McConkey's men controlled large portions of the second period but it took a couple of good saves from John Connolly to keep the score level. The Mallards then took a deserved lead through Chris Kelly and just when it looked like they would hold out for the win, the Ports nicked a 95th minute equaliser.

Certainly a performance to be proud of and one that keeps us firmly in touch with the league leaders.

Next Saturday we are home to Ards.
