Ballinamallard 2-1 Newbuildings

Goals from Aaron Arkinson and Lee Frazer helped the Mallards into the Semi Finals of the Eventsec North West Intermediate Cup last night.

Despite other opportunities, Arkinson's goal was all that separated the sides at half time before Frazer doubled the advantage shortly after the break.

Sam Robb hit the crossbar before Newbuildings pulled a goal back within the last 10 minutes to leave a nervy finish. The away side surged forward in search of an equaliser and it took a couple of John Connolly saves to keep them at bay and secure victory.

The other Semi Finalists include Dergview, Limavady and Moyola Park with the draw to be confirmed.

Congratulations also to Academy graduate Ben McCann who made his 50th first team appearance.
