'Super' Jay McCartney has confirmed to Harry McConkey that he will stay at Ballinamallard next season. Our Vice Captain will enter his ninth season at the Club and hope to pass the 300 appearances mark, which is news the Mallard fans will be delighted to hear!
"Players like Jay are extremely hard to find, as the experience he has is invaluable and he is the model professional for all my younger players. His loyality and commitment cannot be under estimated and I am thrilled to have him on board for next season" commented McConkey.
McCartney joined back in 2011 and helped to propel us to the league title with 10 league goals and a string of assists and he added to his medal collection this year having finished as runners up in the Tennents Irish Cup, a day which the winger described as 'one of his proudest days in football'.
Number 11, McCARTNEY, will hang in the dressing room for another year.
