Mallards through to semis on penalties

Historymakers 👊 For the first time in our history we have reached the SEMI FINALS of the Tennents Irish Cup.

A monumental effort from the Mallards seen them come twice from behind to force penalties.

Seanan Clucas had given the Swifts a half time lead with Jason McCartney going closest for the Fermanagh side by hitting the crossbar.

McCartney didn't make any mistake next time around, thumping home a volley to equalise and despite chances for both sides the game went to extra time.

Ally Taggert again put the hosts in front but in the final few minutes of extra time Joshua McIlwaine crossed for Ryan Campbell to head in and draw level.

John Connolly saved the Swifts first penalty and Richard Clarke and Chris Kelly both scored to give an advantage.

O'Rourke then missed for Dungannon and Daniel Hughes scored a pressure penalty to make it 2-1 Mallards.

Then Ryan O'Reilly seen his spot kick saved and Joshua McIlwaine scored our fourth to leave it 3-1.

Clucas netted again for 3-2 and then David Armstrong hit the bar to send Ballinamallard into a semi final with Warrenpoint Town at the end of March.

Harry's at the wheel!
