Ballinamallard 1-0 Portadown

It was back to winning ways for the Mallards with a hard fought win.

In a game of few clear cut chances it was a penalty on 34 minutes that decided matters. Sean McEvoy showed great determination down the right and drove into the penalty area before being fouled and Captain Richard Clarke scored from the spot yet again.

In the first half Kevin Branniff headed over the Ports best chance but it was the Mallards who were having more of the ball.

That changed in the second half however and the visitors had more possession, but despite several good chances they couldn't make it count. Duke, Branniff and Carmichael all wasted great opportunities as the Mallards threw bodies in the way of everything to stand firm and record a welcome clean sheet.
