Irish Cup Quarter Finalists!

For only the second time in our history, we have reached the Quarter Finals of the Tennents Irish Cup!

Joshua McIlwaine's header on 18 minutes was just enough to separate the sides in a tense encounter at Ferney Park tonight, with the Mallards defence standing firm despite a second half aerial bombardment from Carrick.

Both sides seen efforts cleared off the line in the second half; two by goalkeeper Aaron Hogg and one from Mallards defender Ross Taheny whilst Carrick also hit the bar.

Harry McConkey's men showed great character after Saturday's heavy defeat and can now look forward to a Quarter Final at Stangmore Park on Saturday 2nd March against Dungannon Swifts.
