Robbie returns

Striker Robbie Hume has become Harry McConkey's first signing of the January transfer window and will link up with the squad on Thursday night for his first training session.

The 26 year old was at Ballinamallard previously, signing at the start of the 2015/16 season from Institute having scored 7 Premier League goals the season before. However with increased competition for places and limited game time, he returned to Stute after a short period of time.

Since then Robbie has gone onto impress and been on the radar of some Premier League Clubs due to his goal scoring record. He was influential in Limavady's historic treble winning season in 2016/17, scoring an incredible 42 goals which spearheaded the Lims to the Premier Intermediate League title, and he also starred in their Intermediate Cup Final win, scoring 2 goals and picking up the man of the match award.

So far this season he has scored 6 goals in 14 appearance for Limavady and is keen now to prove himself at Ballinamallard.

"I said to the board that I wouldn't be signing anyone in January unless they would improve our squad, and Robbie definitely falls into that category" commented McConkey.

"He provides us with another goalscoring threat, can play through the middle and the wide areas as well as being a dead ball specialist and I look forward to him becoming part of our squad".

Whilst he cannot play until the 1st January, Hume is excited to re-join the Fermanagh side. "I am delighted and very thankful to Harry for giving me the opportunity to join up again with Ballinamallard. I feel I have a lot to prove at the Club and hopefully I can do that between now and the end of the season. I am eager to get training with the lads and to show the fans just what I can do on the pitch".

Welcome back Robbie!
