Steve Feeney resigns

It is with deep regret that First Team Coach Steve Feeney has tendered his resignation, following on from that of Manager Gavin Dykes.

Steve joined Ballinamallard 7 years ago and quickly took the club to heart, becoming a popular face around Ferney Park. He made 149 appearances from 2011 until 2017, playing in some of our most historic moments and donned the Captain's armband also. In Whitey Anderson's final year at the club, Steve began coaching the first team and he continued that role under close friend and mentor Gavin Dykes, working around the clock to progress the club.

Despite Dykes urging him to stay, Steve cited the decision to step aside as "an incredibly difficult one" but one which he felt was "in the best interests of the club". He spoke of how he took pride in representing the club both as a player and coach and looks back on his time with the Mallards with very fond memories. He also hopes to continue the close connection that he has with Ballinamallard and the people around it into the future.

Ballinamallard United FC would like to place on record our sincere appreciation and thanks to Steve for his commitment, dedication and professionalism, and are sorry to see him depart.

Current first team coaches Brian Khan and Andy Crawford will continue to oversee first team affairs at this time.
