Quartet sign for Ballinamallard

The January transfer window is barely open, but Gavin Dykes has already snapped up another four players in an effort to strengthen the Mallards and lift them off the bottom of the table.

Joining recent addition Ryan O'Reilly is Sean Noble, Michael Kerr, Stephen O'Flynn and Packie Mailey, who will all hopefully have clearance to play ahead of our Tennent's Irish Cup match at home to Immaculata this Saturday.

Noble is a 21 year old right sided attacker who was previously on the books of Carrick Rangers, Waterford United and Bray Wanderers, and he can play right midfield or striker.

Michael Kerr is a young right back who joins on a six month loan from Crusaders. The 19 year old is highly rated by Stephen Baxter who has sent the defender out on loan to gain more first team experience, after a similar spell at Ballymena at the end of last season.

Stephen O'Flynn returns to the club for a second spell having scored 4 goals in 12 games at the end of the 2015/16 season and Mallards fans will fondly remember the vital goals he scored in wins over Ballymena and Institute which kept us in the Premier League. He has since been on the books of Glentoran and Donegal Celtic.

Packie Mailey is a 29 year old defender who signs from Finn Harps having previous been on the books of Hibernian and is known to Dykes from his time at the club.

We welcome all players to Ballinamallard and hope that they can add their experience and energy to the panel.
