Despite a late fightback, the Mallards unfortunately come away from the Showgrounds empty handed.

The home side bossed the majority of the game and took the lead before half time when Anthony Kane scored from the penalty spot. Cathair Friel added a second after the break before substitutes Owens and Armstrong combined to bring the Mallards back into the game with 5 minutes remaining.

David Jeffrey's side endured a nervous finish, but took all three points.
