Ards 2-0 Ballinamallard

Ards gained their first victory over Ballinamallard in 2016/17, with a Friday night victory in Bangor.

Previously the Mallards had beaten and drawn with Ards, but they were second best for the majority of this encounter and it was a deserved victory for Colin Nixon's men.

Michael Ruddy put them ahead in the first half when he converted a penalty, before Keke netted a second half goal to seal victory.

To make matters worse for Ballinamallard, both Stuart Hutchinson and Joshua McIlwaine limped off with injury.
