Ballinamallard 1-0 Cliftonville

It was backs against the wall at times, but Ballinamallard recorded their second victory over Cliftonville in their Premier League existence. You have to go back to September 2012 for a victory at Solitude, but the Mallards had never beaten the Reds at Ferney Park.

Ex-Mallard Chris Curran Captained Cliftonville, who perhaps shaded a reasonable even first half. Richard Brush was vital to keeping the score level, when he clawed out a Jude Winchester header on 44 minutes.

Brush was called into action immediately at the start of the second half again, but it was the home side who took the lead.

Shane McGinty made good progress before moving the ball to Ryan Mayse, who netted in off the left upright for his seventh of the season.

Cliftonville created numerous chances but couldn't convert, but their best chance came from the penalty spot after Curran was fouled by Feeney, however Brush dived to his left to deny Daniel Hughes.

The Reds had Chris Ramsey sent off in the dying minutes of the game, and despite 6 added minutes, the Mallards held out.
