Ards 3-3 Ballinamallard

Ards came from behind three times on Friday night to deny Ballinamallard a first win since the start of October, but it's a welcome point for the Mallards having lost the last 6 league games in a row.

The first half was a rather drab affair with Ards perhaps having the better of the chances - Mallards old boy Emmet Friars going closest by heading off the post.

The second half exploded into life however 3 minutes after the break with Adam Lecky netting the opener after he was put through one on one with Hogg by Shane McGinty.

Ards responded within minutes however when Craig McMillan netted at the second attempt after his initial shot was parried by McGrath.

Lecky was at it again however seconds later when he controlled Ryan Mayse cross and volleyed past Hogg for his second of the game.

Again however Ards equalised and this time Friars found the net with his free header.

The away side took the lead again when McCartney crossed from the left and under pressure from Lecky, Hogg spilled the ball and granted the front man his hat trick.

Michael Ruddy equalised for Ards when he netted from the spot and despite both sides going close to a winner, the game ended in a draw.

The U20s also scored 3 goals away to Ards, but they only conceeded the one! Ward, Beacom and Warrington the scorers in a game which seen debuts for 2001s Josh Largo Ellis, Timothy Coalter & Dean Corrigan.
