Ryan Mayse signs from Dergview

Ryan Mayse has today become Whitey Anderson’s second signing of the January transfer window, after that of Ivan Sproule on Tuesday.

The 22 year old striker was prolific in Fermanagh and Western league with Strathroy Harps before moving onto intermediate football in the summer of 2015 with Dergview, whom he has helped to fourth place in Championship One. Anderson was previously keen to secure his signature and is looking forward to seeing him in action.

I am delighted to secure the signature of Ryan Mayse. We had hoped to sign him in the summer but he decided that he would like to play at Championship level first, having previously played junior football with Strathroy Harps. Ryan has great technical ability and an eye for goal. He plays with pace and energy, and his work rate will not be found wanting. I firmly believe he can make the step up and be a success”.

Mayse is ineligible to play in tomorrow’s Tennent’s Irish Cup tie against Coleraine, but will be in the Seconds team to play Cliftonville Olympic on Fisher Park at 2pm. Welcome to Ballinamallard Ryan!
