Ballinamallard 1-2 Coleraine

Oran Kearney's Coleraine moved into second place with a narrow 2-1 victory at Ferney Park on Friday evening.

The bannsiders lost star striker James McLaughlin in the warm up, but got a slice of luck for the opening goal when goalkeeper Stefan McCusker spilled Jamie McGonigle's shot and Ian Parkhill followed up from close range.

The Mallards did respond however and should have drawn level but Jason McCartney somehow shot wide from close range.

October player of the month Adam Lecky equalised for the home side on 57 minutes and controlled large parts of the second half. Liam Martin should have added a second when put through on goal but the striker shot straight at goalkeeper Michael Doherty.

Coleraine showed some great character however and fought themselves back into the game, with McCusker making two great saves. Then on 85 minutes, substitute Rodney Brown showed great composure to find the back of the net and grab victory for Coleraine.

The half time draw winner was Teddy Elliott with ticket number 13186.
