Cliftonville 3-1 Ballinamallard

Second half goals from David McDaid (2) and a deflected Chris Curran effort gave the Reds victory over Ballinamallard.

It was the visitors however that should have taken the lead within the first 10 minutes, but Conor Devlin denied Liam Martin from the penalty spot. Cliftonville had plenty of possession in the first half but couldn't find the breakthrough and the game ended scoreless at half time.

Cliftonville scored 3 goals in the space of 15 minutes in the second half with Curran's strike deflecting off the unfortunate McLaughlin for the first and McDaid striking in the second and third.

James McKenna headed in Liam Martin's cross with 10 minutes remaining, and Martin was unlucky not to get a second goal for the Mallards when he was inches away from Lafferty's cross.

Next up for the Mallards is a home tie with in form Colerain on Friday evening at Ferney Park.
