Ballinamallard 0-1 Glenavon

Joel Cooper's 49th minute strike gave Glenavon all three points in this re-arranged Danske Bank Premier League game at Ferney Park on Wednesday evening.

The summer signing from Ballyclare Comrades latched onto Kevin Braniff's flick on, and kept his cool to jink past the oncoming defenders and find the bottom corner of the net.

Ballinamallard's best chance fell to Liam Martin in the first half, after being put through by Michael McCrudden, but he dragged his shot wide.

Alvin Rouse denied Kevin Branniff whilst Johnny Courtney seen his long range piledriver tipped around the post by Jonathan Tuffey.

The away side could have extended their lead in the second half with Bradley going close, and whilst the home side made a late surge, they couldn't carve out that one key goalscoring opportunity they needed.
