Al be back

Alvin Rouse, who was Whitey Anderson's first signing when we were promoted to the Premiership in 2012 and became a fans' favourite for two seasons, is a Mallard once again after a season at Dungannon Swifts.

Whitey commented on Alvin's return, "I am glad to announce that Alvin Rouse will return to Ferney Park for the incoming season. I believe his experience was missed at the club last season and in his first season he was voted one of the top 3 keepers in the league having 18 clean sheets. I am sure that Alvin recognises that in his second season his hunger and drive had somewhat diminished and he now wants to prove again that he is one of the top keepers at this level. He is only 35 years of age and his return is a great boost for everyone."

Former Barbados international Alvin will pick up on the 67 appearances he made during his first spell at Ferney Park, and according to his interview with Laure James in today's Sunday Mirror, Alvin is looking forward to his return. "I loved my time at Ballinamallard and it's great to be going back there. I wanted regular football and Whitey and I always got on well so I was happy to hear he wanted me back. The fans were always fantastic too, and were always big supporters of me."
