Ryan Mayse joins the Swifts
Striker Ryan Mayse has become Rodney McAree's first signing of the summer at Dungannon Swifts, joining from Ballinamallard. Mayse joined the Mallards in January 2016 and made 48 appearances, scoring 10 goals, all of which came in the 2016/17 season. His performances earned him several man of the match awards, and he caught the eye of many opposition supporters. We thank Ryan for his service and wish him luck.

Gordon Lee elected as Chairman
Longstanding and respected Club Member Gordon Lee was elected as the new Chairman of Ballinamallard United FC at Wednesday evening's AGM, with Jeff Aiken stepping aside after 3 years. Gordon has been associated with Ballinamallard since joining the club as a 23 year old player in 1984, and he represented us at both Fermanagh & Western and 'B' Division level. At the Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday past, Club Chairman Jeff Aiken did not seek re-election for the position of Club Chairman, which he commented was a decision that he took "with a heavy heart". Jeff took on the position 3 years ago, following in the footsteps of his late father Billy Aiken, and showed immense dedication to the role in consideration of the fact that he lived 85 miles from Ferney Park. Richard Clarke signs a 2 year deal
We've secured our first signing of the summer with the addition of midfielder Richard Clarke from Crusaders. Clarke, previously of Omagh Town, Newry City & Glentoran, almost joined the Mallards previously, before Stephen Baxter convinced him to become part of his plans at Seaview and that led to a host of medals for the 31 year old including 2 league titles. Shane McCabe retires
Shane McCabe has announced his retirement from football at the conclusion of the 2016/17 season. The midfielder has enjoyed a successful and colourful career in the Irish league and has won both the Gibson Cup and Irish Cup, as well as playing in Europe and being relegated. McCabe rejoined the Mallards at the start of the 2015/16 season and made 28 appearances, and then followed that up with 30 appearances in 2016/17.
